Baby soap:
This is a lovely, little bar of soap for that little bundle of joy in your life. Having an especially soft, mild bar made small and thin to make bath time a full of cheer for baby and parents, this bar is only lightly scented with Mandarin orange essential oil as babies are not meant to have a lot of scent on their skin. Ingredients: coconut oil*, avocado oil, sweet almond oil*, castor oil*, lye, cocoa butter*, mandarin orange EO.

Liberty Bar:
Calling all allergy sufferers and sensitive skin people—we announce freedom in soap form from artificial and natural scents, colorings, and irritants. Following the principle of K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple, silly!), this is just a basic, soft bar of light-colored soap that will hopefully keep you clear of all that bothers you. Ingredients: coconut oil*, castor oil*, extra virgin olive oil*, lye.

Basic Soap for the Holidays:
Prairie Soap House’s special basic soap blend made seasonally fresh with pine needle scented essential oil and chlorella powder to turn the soap green. This is the smell and sight of that Christmas tree as it sits in your living room, warming to the heat of your home, unfurling its branches, and giving you its beautiful scent and undecorated sights. This bar has a higher percentage of coconut oil, giving it a more firm consistency than some of the other bars on our menu for this season. Ingredients: coconut oil*, castor oil*, sesame oil*, lye, chlorella powder, Scotch pine essential oil, palm oil*.

Milk Chocolate Bar:
PSH’s first milk soap, this bar is also colored with cocoa powder and scented with Peru balsam, allspice, and cardamom essential oils to give you the experience of a high-priced, specialty chocolate bar without the calories! Warning: it may smell and look as good as your Great Aunt Ethel’s Fudge—but please don’t eat it. Ingredients: coconut oil*, organic 2% milk*, castor oil*, sunflower oil*, soybean oil*, hazelnut oil, lye, cocoa butter*, cocoa powder, peru balsam EO, allspice EO, cardamom EO.

Peppermint Cookie Dough:
You know those really good candy-cane peppermint cookies that the ladies at your church or work make every year (and maybe you do, too)? Well, this is the soap version of that very dough. This bar smells so great, I am thinking of leaving it permanently on our standard menu. The scent of organic peppermint oil combines with Dragon’s Blood Resin (don’t worry—it isn’t scary!) and the soap recipe to provide you with a strange, little bar that looks something like an unbaked sugar cookie with red flecks and an amazing peppermint scent. Ingredients: coconut oil*, castor oil*, neem oil, hazelnut oil*, lye, cocoa butter*, peppermint EO*, dragon’s blood resin, alcohol.

Nutcracker Nutmeg Bar:
Moving more into the luxurious category of soaps, we find our Nutcracker Nutmeg bar with our high-end, exotic nut oils. Folklorically speaking, the nut oils contain some of the best moisturizing and most nourishing qualities of all of the oils. But we use them because they smell and look great. This bar has the added asset of organic nutmeg essential oil to give you an amazing scent experience. This bar looks and smells like eggnog (no eggs included). Ingredients: Coconut oil*, sesame oil*, soybean oil*, sweet almond oil*, macadamia nut oil*, lye, mango butter, nutmeg EO, ground nutmeg.

Silk Stockings Vanilla:
After a long day shopping at the mall, a girl wants to go home, kick up her heels, and swim around in something silky. And that’s exactly what you can do with this bar because it actually contains liquid silk (yes, I know, it seems preposterous, but it is true). In addition to this, Silk Stockings Vanilla affords the amazing opportunity to use two very special ingredients: evening primrose oil and organic vanilla essential oil (which for a .125 oz bottle costs $17.00 alone!) This bar is geared right towards you, girls! And I should add, your man should like it too, since most men are very attracted to the scent of vanilla. So, complement your holiday experience with a little romance from the aide of this amazing bar. Made to look pretty (just like you) in a mold. Drum roll please (or should I say Little Drummer Boy—drum away?) Prairie Soap House’s first translucent bar, this bar holds some very interesting surprises: glittery sparkles, frankincense essential oil, and myrrh essential oil. Like the Magi, we hope you are captivated and entranced by this mysterious combination of ingredients. This bar would make a great gift for those important people in your life—and if you have never smelled frankincense & myrrh—don’t wait a second longer. Ingredients: coconut oil*, Everclear, castor oil*, cocoa butter*, wheat germ oil, vegetable glycerin, palm oil*, lye, sugar, glitter, frankincense EO*, myrrh EO. (The combination of the Everclear, the lye and the glycerin is what gives this bar its clarity, but don’t worry, none of these ingredients are left in the final product). Note: the glitter is a synthetic ingredient.
